Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finishing Carpenter / Deficiency Carpenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing interior and exterior finishing tasks, addressing deficiencies, and ensuring our homes meet the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a broad skill set, and contribute to creating beautiful, functional homes. This position will be mainly in an independent role focused on the final touches on each of our homes, working with homeowners after key handover, and smaller carpentry projects that require 1 person seeing most of the project through.

Responsibilities

  • Complete finishing work including caulking, small drywall patching, painting touch-ups, stucco repairs
  • Address construction deficiencies by identifying issues on-site and executing effective repairs or adjustments.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project specifications for smaller projects.
  • Perform trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture mounting with precision and attention to detail (in smaller projects).

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in carpentry experience with a minimum of 5 years in finishing tasks
  • Proven experience in finish carpentry, trim carpentry, or related construction roles with a focus on residential projects.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols
  • Familiarity with various construction disciplines
  • Ability to perform detailed craftsmanship to a high calibre
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues quickly and execute effective solutions.

Pay: $39.00-$45.00 per hour
