Job Description: Finishing Carpenter

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong craftsmanship skills, attention to detail, and extensive experience with interior finishing work. You will be responsible for installing and completing the detailed woodwork that enhances the quality, appearance, and functionality of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install interior and exterior doors, frames, and hardware
  • Fit and install baseboards, crown molding, casings, and trim
  • Install custom millwork
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with precision
  • Ensure all finishes meet high-quality standards and project specifications
  • Repair or replace damaged trim, fixtures, or other finish components
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of finishing carpentry experience (required)
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment
  • Ability to produce clean, accurate, and high-quality finishing work
  • Proficient in measuring, leveling, and installing precision components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve on-site installation challenges
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various site conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
