Role Overview

This is a
volunteer, hybrid
Creative Producer role based in the GTA with flexibility for remote work. The Creative Producer helps shape and organize the operational side of our production including: theatre bookings, budgeting, grants research, and coordinating pre-production tasks.

This role is
not paid at this time
, but it offers genuine creative leadership experience and the potential to evolve into a paid position as the company scales.

You will work directly with the Artistic Director to bring the blacklight theatre production and seasonal projects to life.

Responsibilities include:

We're looking for someone highly organized and proactive, who enjoys taking creative ideas and building the structure that makes them real.

  • Researching and coordinating
    theatre venues
    in the GTA
  • Tracking
    budgets, materials, quotes, and suppliers
  • Researching
    grants, sponsorships, and community funding opportunities
  • Creating and maintaining
    timelines, schedules, and project task lists
  • Preparing simple pitch documents, summaries, or organization sheets
  • Assisting with communication across volunteers, venues, and suppliers
  • Supporting general project organization and follow-up

No technical theatre skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Interest or background in theatre, events, production, or arts management
  • Comfortable managing logistics, schedules, and follow-ups
  • Basic familiarity with spreadsheets and project-tracking tools
  • Proactive, reliable, and self-directed
  • Respectful, community-minded, and aligned with a positive, faith-friendly creative vision
