Pearson Transport Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day operations and support growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment, values strong relationships, and excels at keeping complex operations running smoothly.

As our next Operations Manager, you'll be the person our team looks to for guidance, support, and clear direction. You'll work closely with our Dispatcher, help solve customer challenges, keep an eye on costs, and ensure we're meeting all safety and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
  • Provide leadership and support and train staff.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure company-wide customer service standards are consistently met.
  • Work closely with the Dispatcher to coordinate schedules that align with business goals and cost efficiency.
  • Review, approve, and monitor invoices and operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial transportation regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Oversee and manage equipment maintenance programs.
  • Resolve higher-level operational matters, including customer disputes, compliance risks, and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking operations (required).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian federal/provincial trucking regulations and safety requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with transportation technology and willingness to learn new systems.
