Operations Manager – Electrical Contracting

New Life Electric | British Columbia

Are you the kind of person who loves bringing order to chaos, supporting a great crew, and going home knowing the day actually ran well?

Do you want to work for a company that takes the work seriously, but not itself?

Would you like a leadership role where you can build systems, grow with people, and make a real impact every single day?

If you nodded along to those… keep reading

Who We Are

New Life Electric is a fast-growing, high-energy electrical contractor based in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. We work across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects, giving our team variety, challenge, and the chance to constantly level up their skills.

We care deeply about quality, safety, and people—and we're serious about getting everyone home safe to their families at the end of the day.

Business is booming, and now we're ready to bring on an Operations Manager to help lead our next phase of growth.

Why This Will Be the Best Career Move You'll Make

  • $85,000 – $125,000 salary range, based on experience
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Benefits package
  • Real leadership influence—you won't just "follow systems," you'll help build them
  • Work directly with ownership to shape how the business grows
  • A skilled, supportive, and down-to-earth team
  • A company that values structure, accountability, and a good sense of humour

Your Mission

Your job is to make sure New Life Electric runs smoothly, safely, and profitably.

You'll be the engine behind the scenes coordinating crews, ordering materials, keeping projects on track, and making sure our electricians can focus on doing great work without unnecessary roadblocks.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Organizing and managing day-to-day operations
  • Scheduling and supporting ~10 field technicians
  • Making sure every job is ready before crews arrive
  • Tracking job progress, quality, budgets, and customer satisfaction
  • Keeping projects on time and on budget
  • Completing job costing within 5 days of close-out
  • Managing change orders so nothing slips through the cracks
  • Running safety meetings and keeping WorkSafeBC compliance tight
  • Visiting job sites to check safety and workmanship
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting electricians and apprentices
  • Helping improve systems like Contractor Foreman
  • Working closely with ownership on planning, forecasting, and growth

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in electrical contracting, construction management, or similar
  • Experience leading or supervising field crews
  • Strong understanding of electrical service and construction work
  • Red Seal Electrician is a big plus (or equivalent experience)
  • Organized, proactive, and good with people
  • Comfortable juggling multiple jobs and priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and able to visit job sites

If you don't tick every box, don't stress. If you've got the right mindset, leadership potential, and industry experience, we want to hear from you.

The Right Fit

We're not looking for someone who just "fills a seat."

We're looking for someone who wants to build something, lead a great team, and be proud of the company they help run.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you
