The Customer Account Manager (CAM) is a position for established salespeople who have experience managing significant account sizes, creating senior-level relationships and driving additional business. The CAM will work within a territory of existing customers, focusing on expanding the Prophix footprint through license add-ons or migrating on-premise customers to the cloud.
Prophix offers employees in the CAM role a hybrid or remote option for working. It's expected that for Mandatory In Person meetings, hybrid employees will attend in office. We have invested in best-in-class tools, technology, and culture to ensure our team members are able to do their best work.
Requirements
What You Will Do
- Proactively teaming with other departments in the management of the overall client relationship.
- Actively prospect daily into customer base.
- Evaluate, engage and expand sales requests with customers.
- Manage and close complex sales cycles with key accounts while working in concert with Professional Services, Cloud Team, Direct Sales, Legal, Customer Support and Customer Success Departments.
- Escalate significant opportunities as well as customer issues.
- Create and rigorously update opportunities in our CRM.
- Assist with managing and running marketing campaigns to nurture sales within the customer base.
- Work with other departments to run customer enablement programs.

Required Qualifications
A mix of experience, training, or education that helps you succeed in this role.
- Minimum 3-5 years' of direct or customer selling experience in software sales, CPM or Fintech Software preferred
- A track record of achieving sales performance targets
- CRM experience as a user (ex: )
- Strong computer skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of CPM software is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Deep understanding of on-premise and cloud business models
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, effective public speaking skills and presence and proven ability to work with our customers' senior management levels (ex: CFO, CIO, VP Finance, etc.)
- Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
- Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
- Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches
- Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic or practical knowledge of Accounting and/or Financial concepts (i.e. planning, budgeting, forecasting, or consolidation) is preferred
- Very developed interpersonal communication and organizational skills and proven ability to communicate our value proposition
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proven multi-tasking, time-management and problem-solving skills within complex environments
- Strong presentation skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to track and manage to a quota target

- Within 6 months: You have a full understanding of the role and responsibilities. You are contributing significantly to pipeline generation and closed opportunities, and are on track to target.
