Quality Assurance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities
Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
Conduct in-process inspections, in-coming inspections, First Article inspection and final Inspection
Initiate Non-conformance reports (Material Rejection Notice) as required
Input and perform inspection findings and result and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
Perform accurate physical, visual, and mechanical inspection of components and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and specification requirements.
Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
Conduct quality checks on finished products. Ensure that all products have been checked and fall within standard, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
Verifies material / color used on product conforms to customers' requirements
Issues First-off samples and visual samples at each production start-up
Verifies machine cycle time hourly and logs information
Able to enter data into spreadsheets.
Familiar with Microsoft word and excel.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate in English.
Qualifications
Read blueprints and specifications
Recommend adjustments to the production process
Inspect, test, or measure products being produced
Measure products with calipers, gauges, micrometers, or CMM
Accept or reject finished items
Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
Report inspection and test data
Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
This is a temporary position (90 days) with the possibility of full time hire at end of term. This position is steady afternoon shift from 3 pm - 11 pm Monday -Friday, with overtime as required.
COMPENSATION: Hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $24.00, depending on experience. An additional $1.00 per hour shift premium applies for afternoon shift.
