Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality industries. The Kitchen Helper will play a vital role in food preparation, cleaning, and assisting with daily kitchen tasks to ensure smooth restaurant or hotel operations.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste
- Support food handling and storage procedures to ensure safety standards are met
- Help with organizing ingredients and kitchen supplies for efficient workflow
- Support servers and other staff with food service as needed
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during daily operations
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Follow proper food handling protocols to maintain hygiene standards
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, or general kitchen duties is a plus
- Previous roles involving food handling or serving can be beneficial for understanding customer service expectations
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and hospitality industry standards
