Rocky View Foundation – Airdrie, AB

Part-time · Contract

About Us

For more than 60 years, Rocky View Foundation (RVF) has been a cornerstone of the community, providing safe, affordable housing and programs that foster connection, dignity, and well-being across Rocky View County.

We are looking for a Part-Time Fundraising & Development Coordinator to help expand our fundraising capacity, cultivate meaningful donor relationships, and build long-term community support.

About You

You're a resourceful self-starter with a proven track record in fundraising and stakeholder relations. You thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments and know how to inspire donors, sponsors, and partners. With your ability to design and execute creative fundraising strategies, you'll help strengthen RVF's financial sustainability and grow our impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Implementation

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive fundraising strategies for both large-scale capital projects and smaller community initiatives.
  • Diversify funding streams through individual giving, corporate partnerships, foundations, and government grants.
  • Manage campaign timelines, communications, events, and reporting.

Donor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses, and service clubs.
  • Enhance donor engagement with personalized outreach, impact reporting, and recognition.
  • Maintain donor records with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute fundraising events, auctions, and community campaigns.
  • Represent RVF at community gatherings, presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Create compelling stories and content (newsletters, LinkedIn, reports) to highlight donor impact and community success.

Grants & Reporting

  • Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to secure operational and project funding.
  • Track and report on key fundraising metrics (funds secured, donor retention, campaign milestones).
  • Provide regular updates to the CAO, Board, and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, marketing, or nonprofit administration.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and public speaking).
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising campaigns, grant writing, and donor stewardship.
  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and build strong relationships.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events.

Position Details

  • Contract: 1 year, renewable annually based on KPI's and deliverables.
  • Hours: Part-time (approx. 20/week, flexible).
  • Compensation: Range - $35, $50,000.00, dependent on experience.
  • Location: Hybrid – Airdrie Corporate Head Office & Home office based.

Why Join Us?

This is more than just a job; it's a chance to create lasting impact in your community. By helping RVF grow its fundraising capacity, you'll play a vital role in strengthening affordable housing and community support across Rocky View County. You'll join a supportive team with a deep commitment to collaboration, innovation, and making a difference.
