Chiropractic Health Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chiropractic Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support chiropractors in providing exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on improving patient well-being through chiropractic services.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization of equipment
- Assist chiropractors during patient examinations and treatments
- Manage patient records accurately and update electronic health records as needed
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient clinic flow
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and answer basic questions
- MVA/WCB/Medavie paperwork and billing, direct billing for primary insurance providers
- Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, email and phone communicatoin
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with electronic health records systems
- Prior experience in a medical or chiropractic office is a plus but not required
- Direct billing experience an asset but not required

The Chiropractic Health Assistant will have the following schedule:
Monday - 12:15pm to 6:15pm
Tuesday - 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 8:15pm
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 8:15pm
Friday - 12:15pm to 5:15pm
This position has weekends off, times of shifts may change slightly with notice to accommodate staff meetings, etc., may be asked to cover vacation days.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Experience:
- Medical office: 1 year (preferred)
