As our team continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Assistant who is ready to build a long-term career with us.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative or office coordination experience, who is looking for a new challenge or a career change in the new year. You do not need an accounting background but you do need to be a quick learner and keen to progress.

Reporting to management, you will support day-to-day administrative, payroll, and accounting tasks while gradually taking on more responsibility as you learn and grow within the company.

This position is based on site at our Perth, Ontario office.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Office Support

  • Organize paperwork, digital records, and project documentation
  • Assist with data entry, filing, spreadsheets, and internal reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee records and project files
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance and management team

Payroll & Financial Support (Training Provided)

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing (union and non-union)
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor invoices
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Help prepare and submit purchase orders and variation orders
  • Support month-end tasks, job costing, and expense tracking
  • Assist with HST and WSIB documentation
  • Learn to use Jonas Premier (training provided)

You will start with foundational tasks and, as you gain confidence, gradually take on more technical responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong administrative or office coordination experience
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong computer and Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong communication and organization abilities
  • Interest in building a long-term career in payroll, accounting, and construction administration

Requirements:

  • Must be currently living in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be local to Perth or within a reasonable commute
