Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will assist lead teachers in creating engaging activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all learners. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early learning experiences while gaining valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education.

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing individualized care and assistance as needed
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Foster positive interactions among children to encourage social skills and cooperation
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
  • Support classroom management strategies to promote respectful behavior and a positive learning atmosphere

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Background in teaching, caregiving, or early childhood education is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with children and create a nurturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with team members, children, and families

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.22 per hour
