Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with children and their families. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's development.
  • Assess children's progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with disabilities or special needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
  • Utilize effective time management and organizational skills to ensure smooth classroom operations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills for classroom management and communication purposes.
  • Excellent writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
