Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting with daily store management, merchandising, staff supervision, and ensuring the achievement of sales goals. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise store staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Manage merchandising activities, including pricing, product placement, and inventory replenishment to optimize sales.
  • Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy and integrity.
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote store products and services.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for staff to enhance their skills in sales, customer service, and store procedures.
  • Monitor store budgets, assist with purchasing decisions, and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, customers, and team members effectively.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or store management is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are considered a significant advantage for communicating with a diverse customer base.
  • Prior experience in marketing, recruiting, budgeting, or purchasing is preferred but not mandatory. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,931.90-$163,599.06 per year
