About the Position

Summit Tools is seeking an entry-level, full-time (3 months contract) Shopify Developer to work alongside our existing web team onsite at our head office in Burnaby, BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping design and build a large e-commerce store using the Shopify platform. You will be working alongside another Shopify developer. This is a 3-month, full-time contract position (40 hours per week)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with customizing Shopify themes

  • Solid design fundamentals

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Shopify liquid code

  • Proficiency with Photoshop and graphics/photo preparation

  • Making sure sites are responsive on all devices and browsers

  • Excellent communication skills, punctuality and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Shopify Development

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices

  • Product photo preparation for web

  • Experience working on e-commerce sites in a team environment
