Symmetry Commerce is a Canadian company founded by two former Shopify employees. Io (President) and Mike (CEO) worked with 100s of ecommerce businesses looking to set up new experiences on Shopify. After years of working for Shopify they decided it was time to get closer to businesses and started the Shopify agency Symmetry Commerce. Symmetry Commerce has one goal: Make Shopify better for everyone. We work with businesses that need to migrate their ecommerce storefront to Shopify or improve their current experience on Shopify. At Symmetry Commerce we offer an array of services such as: New Shopify store setup Shopify store migration Theme design, development and configuration App development and integration design Custom technology development Shopify consultations and support What do we need help with? Development of Custom Solutions: Design and develop custom solutions on the Shopify platform to meet client requirements pre-sales and post and bridging the communication between the project manager, client and the dev team during projects Solution Implementation: Configuring apps like iPass to connect Shopify to external systems, create lightweight apps to complete a migration and tweak liquid code to bring a site to feature completion. Project Contribution: Manage solutions from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into technical requirements. Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with clients to gather requirements, document business processes, and define project objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that address client needs. Mentor and coach the sales team on technical aspects of Shopify: Work with the sales teams to design technical solutions and deliver software architecture concepts to prospective clients to ensure client fit. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, APIs, and best practices. Leverage your technical expertise to recommend innovative solutions and optimize existing processes. Training and Documentation: Provide training and documentation to clients on how to use custom solutions effectively. Ensure that clients are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to maximize the value of their Shopify platform. What skills and experience do we need? Proven experience developing solutions on the Shopify platform. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. It would be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience working with third-party APIs and integrations. Familiarity with frameworks such as React.js, Remix, Liquid and Node. Knowledge of ecommerce best practices and industry trends. Why work with us?
