Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Support sales initiatives through effective merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
- Supervise and motivate team members, overseeing recruiting, training & development, and performance evaluations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy
- Manage inventory purchasing, stock replenishment, and merchandising displays to maximize sales potential
- Coordinate marketing efforts to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
- Assist in budgeting, sales management, and implementing store policies to meet business objectives
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new staff members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management principles
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, team management, and supervising staff
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and customers alike
- Competence in budgeting, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping
- Demonstrated customer service excellence and phone etiquette skills
- A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $15.80-$27.04 per hour
