Job Summary

D&D Commercial Roofing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders including subcontractors, clients, and team members. Specific scope includes commercial and industrial building envelope: flat/low slope and metal roofing, architectural cladding systems (metal, ACM, phenolic, fiber cement), below grade waterproofing (sheet membrane, liquid applied).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Autodesk Build for project planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs associated with labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to coordinate work schedules and resolve any issues that may arise on-site.
  • Prepare construction estimates based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any potential challenges.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control standards, budgeting practices, and estimating techniques.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality at all times.
