As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Environment Manager.

Role Overview

This person can strategize the application environments and infrastructure for a large-scale transformation project in the financial domain. The target solution will integrate with over 100 systems, making this role highly visible within the program. As a leader, you are NOT expected to write scripts or build systems but are expected to design, lead, and coordinate efforts to get things done. This role requires an extensive technical skill set to collaborate with multiple internal and external technology teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the management, provisioning, and uptime of the environments. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor and maintain the development and testing environment across the program and have a deep understanding of the health and use of each environment.
  • Create/Manage environment intakes
  • Prevent disruption to existing business functions, oversee the release pipeline into QA and UAT, PERF and Pre-Prod environment.
  • Govern deployments and change management across environments
  • Orchestrate environment setup
  • Work with architecture teams to identify impacted systems and services required for each function/flow
  • Work with system/engineering teams to identify/request required setup/configuration changes for lower environments (QA/PERF/Pre-Prod)
  • Work with implementation teams (PODs) to schedule integration deployments/testing

Manage test data harvesting

  • Orchestrate system/application sanity checks
  • Track system shakedown testing conducted by its respective system team
  • Track E2E application testing conducted by its respective QA application team
  • Act as the approving party to any retrofit done in any of the environments and communicate on any impacts to downstream PODs
  • Support triaging of environment issues by identifying impacted party and orchestrating resolution with system support teams
  • Manage environment outages to resolution
