What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC's team, the Senior Manager, Digital Test Environment will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation and ongoing improvement of test environments across the organization. You will lead the design, provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of digital test environments to support a variety of development and testing activities. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will champion automation, monitoring, and reliability best practices to ensure high availability and performance of all test environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and lead a group of environment engineers and analysts to achieve operational excellence.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

• Technical Expertise- Leverage your expertise in digital test environment management to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable environments that support development and testing needs. Champion automation and process improvements to drive operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
• Leadership and Team Management- Lead and mentor the digital test environment team, empowering them to excel and adapt to evolving business requirements. Foster strong cross-functional relationships to ensure effective collaboration and rapid issue resolution.
• Continuous Improvement- Embrace continuous learning and innovation to keep environment management practices aligned with industry best standards.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate 8-10 years of experience. In leading the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital test environments to support development, testing, and release activities. Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of test environments, ensuring they meet project and compliance requirements. Partner with development, QA, DevSecOps, release management, and infrastructure teams to align environment capabilities with project needs and timelines. Implement tools and processes to optimize resource utilization, including environment right-sizing and automation initiatives. Maintain dashboards and reports to track environment usage, availability, and performance metrics for continuous improvement. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance environment management capabilities and drive operational efficiency. Its an asset to have a background in SRE or DevSecOps and strong understanding of test environment management solutions and have experience designing and managing environments within cloud-based architectures.
