Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a maintenance Mechanic Helper at our Calgary manufacturing plant.

Carpenter Co. is the world's largest producer of comfort cushioning products successfully operating in Calgary AB since 1977.

This position is responsible for assisting with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, fabrication of structures and mechanical devices in all areas of the plant.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with the following tasks:

  • Preventative maintenance,
  • Assembling machinery and equipment,
  • Installing machinery and equipment,
  • Adjusting machinery and equipment,
  • Repairing machinery and equipment,
  • Troubleshooting.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years industrial mechanic experience.
  • Must be available and willing to work on any shift.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certificates is an asset.
  • First aid certificate is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • Mechanic : 3 years (required)
