The Cashier/Barista/Ice Cream Scooper is a versatile role that involves providing outstanding customer service, handling transactions, preparing coffee and beverages, and serving ice cream and other frozen treats. This position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to create a delightful experience for customers.

**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service**:Greet customers warmly and create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store.
Take customer orders for coffee, beverages, ice cream, and other treats, ensuring accuracy and clear understanding of preferences.
Provide detailed information about menu items, ingredients, flavors, and specials.
Address customer inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.

**Cash Handling and Transactions**:Operate the cash register or point-of-sale system accurately to process customer orders and payments.
Handle various forms of payment, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
Give correct change and provide receipts as needed.

**Barista Duties**:Prepare a variety of coffee and beverage options, such as lattes, espressos, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards.
Steam milk, brew coffee, and create frothy toppings to achieve consistent and delicious beverages.
Maintain knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles.

**Ice Cream Scooping**:Scoop and serve ice cream and frozen treats in a visually appealing and hygienic manner.
Provide recommendations and suggest pairings to enhance customers' ice cream experience.
Ensure portion control and maintain a clean serving area.

**Inventory and Stock Management**:Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, ice cream flavors, cones, cups, and toppings.
Restock supplies to prevent shortages and maintain seamless service.
Collaborate with management to place orders as necessary.

**Cleanliness and Organization**:Keep the store area clean, organized, and sanitized, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
Regularly clean ice cream scooping tools, machines, and surfaces to ensure food safety.

**Team Collaboration**:Work as part of a team, coordinating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to manage orders efficiently.

**Up-selling and Cross-selling**:Recommend complementary items, add-ons, or flavor combinations to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

**Adherence to Policies**:Follow company policies and guidelines for food safety, hygiene, and customer interactions.
Stay informed about the full menu, flavour options, and seasonal specials.

**Multi-Tasking**:Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including taking orders, preparing beverages, scooping ice cream, processing transactions, and maintaining cleanliness.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cashier, barista, or food service role is advantageous.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation methods and ice cream scooping techniques.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry moderate loads, such as boxes of supplies and containers of ice cream.(25-50lbs).
- Bend, stoop, and reach to access items and clean work areas.
