**About Us**

Chai Café is a cozy and inviting kosher café in Toronto, known for our quality beverages, delicious baked goods, and warm atmosphere. We’re looking for a dedicated Barista/Cashier to join our team and help provide exceptional service to our customers.

As a Barista/Cashier at Chai Café, you’ll be responsible for preparing beverages, assisting customers with their orders, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the café runs smoothly. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist with delivery app orders if integrated, such as Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes.

**Responsibilities**

Barista Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee, tea, and seasonal drinks.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Follow recipes and ensure beverage quality and consistency.
- Keep the drink preparation area clean and stocked.

Cashier Duties:

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Handle cash and card payments.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with menu recommendations.
- Package takeout orders.

Cleaning Duties
- Clean and sanitize the customer seating area throughout the day.
- Ensure counters, tables, and floors are tidy and presentable.
- Restock supplies and remove trash as needed.

Delivery App Assistance (if integrated):

- Manage and process orders from Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes.
- Ensure delivery orders are accurate and ready on time.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with other café team members to create a seamless experience for customers.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the café manager.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or Cashier is required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Availability to work mornings and afternoons (7 AM - 4 PM), with flexibility for weekends.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
