Job Description
  • Financial Transactions: Prepare and distribute customer invoices; accurately record and apply incoming payments to customer accounts daily.
  • Collections: Monitor accounts receivable, identify overdue accounts, and execute timely collection efforts while maintaining customer relationships.
  • Financial Accuracy and Reporting: Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and generate reports for management review.
  • Customer Service: Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
Qualifications
  • Education: A diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an accounts receivable or general accounting role
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Knowledge: A strong grasp of basic accounting principles and standard AR practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are mandatory for success in this role.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident approach to collections and customer interactions.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze financial data, interpret AR aging trends, and calculate key performance indicators
  • Location: This is an on-site role, candidates must be able to work from our Toronto office
