About the Role
The firm is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Intern or Co-op Student to join their team for the 2025 Summer to 2026 Spring term. This is an exciting opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within a dynamic and supportive environment. Interns will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial analysis, and participate in strategic projects that influence real business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactionsPerform data entry and coding of invoices in compliance with company policiesSupport monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries and reconciliationsAnalyze financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reportsAssist in preparing accurate and timely internal financial reports and auditsTrack and monitor budget performance and help prepare financial forecastsSupport financial compliance efforts and maintain documentation for audit readinessParticipate in ad hoc financial projects, data analysis, and reporting improvementsCollaborate with team members on process improvement initiativesAbout You
Near completion or recently graduated from a program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business AdministrationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP Accounting systems) is an assetFamiliarity with financial statements, forecasting, and budgeting processesEagerness to learn, with a positive and proactive attitudeAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to developing a career in accounting or finance and pursuing a professional designation (e.g., CPA) is preferredWhat You'll Gain
