About the Opportunity

As our HR Generalist, you'll play a key role in supporting the
full employee lifecycle
at Rainbow Greenhouses, from onboarding and employee relations to performance management and policy administration. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys balancing compliance with culture.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll serve as a trusted resource for both employees and leaders, helping to maintain a positive, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. You'll conduct employee investigations, manage HRIS workflows, and support the development and implementation of HR policies and programs aligned with BC labour laws and our organizational goals. Your attention to detail, knowledge of employment legislation, and ability to navigate complex employee matters will help strengthen HR operations and ensure a supportive environment for our greenhouse and operational teams.

About You

You're a practical, knowledgeable HR professional who's equally comfortable working in the field as you are behind a desk. You understand the unique dynamics of seasonal and year-round operations and are skilled at building trust with diverse teams. You bring structure and fairness to HR practices, are confident in employment law, and know how to handle sensitive situations with discretion and integrity.

Must-Haves

• University degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in agriculture, manufacturing, or similarly paced environments
• Strong experience in employee relations and conducting workplace investigations
• Proficient in HRIS systems and digital recordkeeping
• Solid understanding of performance management systems and practices
• In-depth knowledge of BC labour laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements
• Experience developing, interpreting, and applying HR policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential matters professionally

Nice-to-Haves

• CHRP or CPHR designation (or working towards it)
• Experience supporting hourly and seasonal workforces
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities to support diverse teams
