Jade Tours is a leading travel company providing travel services to travel agents and passengers. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Junior Accountant to join our Head Office in Richmond Hill.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process payment transactions, including wires, EFT, and cheques

  • Perform month-end closing activities, such as preparing journal entries

  • Perform month-end fiscal month roll-over procedures

  • Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot billing discrepancies and misapplied cash transactions

  • Analyze supplier payable and customer receivable reports

  • Follow up on outstanding payment with customers

  • Identify and communicate discrepancies, collaborate on adjustments and corrections for missing payment approvals

  • Process disbursements to travel vendors and customers

  • Perform various daily and monthly account reconciliations

  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of incentive commission calculations based on respective collective agreements and administrative guidelines

  • Analyze supplier statements, resolving payment discrepancies and addressing supplier inquiries

  • Carry out duties such as filing hard and soft copies of reports, supporting documents, vouchers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Accounting diploma or higher

  • 2-3 years of experience in the field of accounting

  • Ability to multi-task, handle a high volume of work, meet deadlines, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills, capable to work independently

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and telephone skills

  • Positive and professional attitude

  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience with the Travcom Accounting System is considered an asset

  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Cantonese
