Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced FP&A leader to own and scale the enterprise FP&A function. This role operates as the senior-most FP&A partner to the executive team, with responsibility for shaping how financial insights inform strategy, capital allocation, and long-term growth decisions.

The Director of FP&A will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, designing executive-grade models, reporting, and planning processes while building and leading a high-performing FP&A team. This role plays a central part in enterprise forecasting, long-range planning, and the evaluation of strategic investments and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise FP&A function, including team leadership, talent development, and overall functional strategy
  • Design and lead enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and long-range modeling that directly supports executive decision-making
  • Develop executive-level financial models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks used by the CEO, CFO, and leadership team
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to the executive team, providing proactive insight, challenge, and recommendations on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Lead advanced scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate strategic, operational, market, and macroeconomic impacts
  • Partner with commercial, operations, and functional leaders on pricing strategy, investment decisions, and customer profitability
  • Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives and potential acquisitions, including valuation modeling, upside/downside cases, and integration planning support
  • Prepare and present materials for executive leadership and the Board, clearly framing financial implications, trade-offs, and recommendations
  • Continuously evolve KPIs, planning processes, and analytical tools to increase rigor, scalability, and decision quality across the organization

Qualifications

  • CPA required, MBA strongly preferred
  • Extensive progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance, including ownership of enterprise-level planning and forecasting
  • Advanced financial modeling expertise with exceptional Excel skills; Power BI or comparable BI tools experience is an asset
  • Proven ability to operate as a peer to senior leaders, influencing decisions through clear, confident communication and insight
  • Strong strategic orientation with the ability to balance detail and execution with enterprise-level thinking
