Job Summary

Rhodium Digital is hiring a Director of Consulting Services to lead the operational heartbeat of a fast-growing technology and management consulting firm. This role sits at the center of our delivery organization, guiding complex client work, shaping how our teams operate, and ensuring our consulting practice continues to grow with strength and discipline.

The Director of Consulting Services oversees project delivery across Rhodium Digital and its affiliated companies, ensuring that work is executed efficiently, profitably, and consistently using our PLATINUM, TITANIUM, and related delivery frameworks. The successful candidate will balance strategic oversight with hands-on engagement, providing leadership in resource planning, governance, quality assurance, and client stability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership and Project Governance

  • Oversee project execution across Rhodium Digital, SilverEdge, and Tantalum Networks.
  • Prioritize, assign, and sequence all consulting work, including directing Managing Principals when required.
  • Ensure adherence to methodology, scope discipline, and risk governance.
  • Maintain real-time oversight of financial progress, schedules, risk posture, and client sentiment.
  • Confirm that every engagement has clear ownership, defined expectations, and a structured delivery plan.

Resource Control and Allocation

  • Retain authority over all resourcing decisions and delivery priorities.
  • Direct the Resource Manager on scheduling, assignment coordination, and capacity planning.
  • Align consultant and leadership assignments with client needs, margin targets, and strategic considerations.
  • Approve high-risk or high-value allocation decisions.

Client Interaction and Delivery Representation

  • Represent the delivery organization in key client meetings, escalations, and governance sessions.
  • Maintain visibility into strategic accounts and reinforce client confidence through proactive oversight.
  • Partner with Managing Principals to support long-term account planning.
  • Intervene early when risks emerge to stabilize delivery and strengthen accountability.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Mentor Project Managers and reinforce consistency in planning, communication, and execution.
  • Partner with Technical Directors and Managing Principals to align skills with delivery needs.
  • Strengthen a culture grounded in transparency, accountability, and engaged communication.
  • Support performance reviews, coaching, and development planning for consultants and PMs.

Financial and Operational Performance

  • Own the financial health of delivery, including utilization, margin performance, backlog quality, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Monitor budgets, burn rates, and financial progress with the Controller.
  • Ensure consistency in project setup, billing alignment, revenue recognition, and time entry.
  • Support sales efforts by validating scope quality and ensuring SOWs align to feasibility and margin expectations.

Collaboration with Managing Principals

  • Assign Managing Principals to high-value, high-risk, or strategically important engagements.
  • Integrate MP advisory and architectural direction into delivery planning.
  • Maintain operational independence while aligning with MP-driven strategy.
  • Ensure leadership has the structure, visibility, and support required to succeed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, technology delivery, or professional services leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary consulting teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology implementation.
  • Experience with Deltek or Microsoft ecosystems is an asset.
  • Proven strength in project governance, resource planning, and financial oversight.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-growing, multi-entity consulting environment.
