Saint James Espresso Bar + Eatery is looking for a solid line cook to join our kitchen

Candidates must be enthusiastic and self-motivated. *A passion for food, and at least 1 year of restaurant/culinary experience is required*. Candidates will require the ability to cook on the line and prepare food to the restaurant standards, take constructive criticism, work well both with a team and independently within a small kitchen space, maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced work environment, and present an open-kitchen, customer-friendly attitude.

Duties include: Line-cooking, re-stocking supplies, helping with general restaurant cleaning tasks shared between all staff, prep duties, working well with customers and Front of House staff, and both taking direction from, and maintaining solid communication with, both the Restaurant Manager and Sous-chef.

Service begins early and ends in the early afternoon, with all staff receiving a free meal per shift, as well as store discounts. Tips are shared based on an hourly multiplier between all staff, with a base wage starting at $18.50 depending on prior experience.
