General Maintenance / Handy Person

Oro-Medonte | Royal Pets Hotel

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable General Maintenance / Handy Person to keep our busy pet hotel in top shape. This isn't a role where you just call in trades—you ARE the trades.

About the role:

  • Daily maintenance, repairs, and odd jobs around our facility
  • Our plumbing, doors, fencing & systems are unique — not "standard household" fixes
  • Expect to paint, repair, clear brush, build/patch fencing, troubleshoot plumbing, and keep our property safe and functional
  • Both indoor and outdoor work, year-round, in a physical and active environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is confident with tools and repairs across multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, fencing, painting, landscaping, general upkeep)
  • Enjoys problem-solving and finding practical solutions
  • Is physically fit, hardworking, and reliable
  • Doesn't mind variety — no two days are the same

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week

  • We listed a range of hours because right now we need as much time as someone can spare to catch up on projects. Moving forward the role would ideally be at least 26 hours a week to allow for enrolment in our benefits program. Depending on skill set and willingness to tackle projects, this could continue as a 26 hour a week job or indeed 40 hours a week. We will work with the right candidate to find that sweet spot.
