The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our expanding team based in Nelson, British Columbia. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is tasked with the day-to-day coordination of projects, including material procurement, workflow management, handling Requests for Information (RFI's), ensuring documentation accuracy, preparing reports and contracts, and processing invoices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinating project schedules with the Project Manager.
  • Undertaking, as directed, the Tendering and Procurement processes.
  • Organizing and allocating resources, including crews, equipment, and project management time.
  • Managing information flow, ensuring proper documentation for each project.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Interacting with clients, maintaining consistent communication on all project aspects.
  • Facilitating the change event process, ensuring accurate and timely communication and documentation.
  • Undertaking other project tasks as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Providing administrative support to the company, as needed.
  • Executing some or all of these responsibilities for related companies and initiatives, as required.

What You Bring to the Role

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Construction Software such as Spectrum or Procore considered an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
