As a Project Coordinator at ITC Construction, you will be responsible for supporting the project team in planning, organizing, and overseeing various aspects of construction projects, from initial planning through to completion. The Project Coordinator will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include coordinating schedules, managing documentation, monitoring project budgets, and facilitating communication between all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of residential construction processes.
What You Will Do
- Assisting in tendering, negotiating and preparation of trade contracts and purchase agreements not provided by pre-construction services as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Ongoing monitoring and processing of plans, specifications, shop drawings and other submittals in accordance with Standard Procedure for Scheduling and Submittal Control and Standard Procedure for Shop Drawing and Document Control as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Review, action and response on daily project correspondence. Action and completion of project issues from incoming communications through to filing of completed items as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Receipt, logging and distribution of drawings, specifications, shop drawings, colour schedules, contemplated change orders, change orders, site instructions, consultant reports, concrete tests and material tests, inspection reports and RFI's (requests for information), in accordance with standard procedures as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Logging, distribution and insertion into the Issued for Construction Drawings of Site Instructions issued by the Design Authority.
- Secure pricing, issue Purchase Orders, and enter Purchase Order information for all required materials as directed by the Superintendent and/or Project Manager in accordance with ITC Standard Procedure for Purchase Orders.
This role could be for you if you have
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience is preferred in the construction field, preferably on high rise residential projects.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with construction processes, building codes, and project management software (e.g., Procore, SharePoint)
- Ability to handle complex documentation and maintain accuracy in project tracking
