As a Regional Administrator for Calgary Parks, you will provide administrative support to the Manager and other regional staff. Primary duties include:

  • Provide administrative support including managing calendars, coordinating meetings and interviews, monitoring and responding to e-mails, arranging travel, preparing documents (for example: correspondence, meeting minutes and presentations), and sorting and distributing mail.
  • Perform office administration and facilities and asset support including ensuring equipment is operational and arranging for repairs, distributing and tracking assets (for example: land lines, mobile devices and credit cards), maintain office supplies and coordinate services required by other City business units.
  • Generate, administer, reconcile and track financial transactions such as credit card statements, invoices, Information Technology (IT) statements and purchase orders.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files and records.

Qualifications

  • A completed 1 year certificate in Business Administration or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressive administrative experience.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning PeopleSoft (PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM and Supply Chain).
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • The ability to respond to politically sensitive and confidential issues, multi-task, and work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Compensation: Pay Grade 6 $ per hour

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
