About the Company
Our client is a well-established Calgary construction company with a strong pipeline of projects across the region. They are looking to add a Construction and Safety Administrator to support day-to-day site operations, safety documentation, and coordination between the field and office teams.
Role Overview
This role supports both construction administration and safety functions. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and the Safety Lead to keep project documentation organized, ensure compliance with Alberta safety standards, and maintain smooth communication across teams.
It's a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Administration
- Support Project Managers with contract administration, RFIs, submittals, and change order tracking.
- Help maintain project documentation, drawings, and schedules.
- Assist with purchase orders, delivery logs, and material tracking.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on paperwork and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and distribute site reports and meeting minutes.
Safety Administration
- Assist with safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training record management.
- Maintain COR/SECOR documentation and ensure compliance with Alberta OHS regulations.
- Track and file inspections, incident reports, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
- Support the Safety Lead with maintaining safety manuals, procedures, and emergency documentation.
- Help with WCB reporting and claims follow-up when needed.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as a bridge between field and office teams, ensuring information is passed along accurately.
- Organize site meetings and maintain attendance records.
- Assist with onboarding new hires and subcontractors with safety paperwork.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in construction admin, safety admin, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of Alberta construction and OHS requirements.
- Experience with MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, SiteDocs, or similar construction software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
