Maple Walk in & Family Practice Clinic, located in Vaughan, GTA has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Medical Assistant position. The clinic encompasses Walk-In Medical, Family Practice and Physiotherapy Department. We are seeking an energetic, forward-thinking individual to join our team. Embracing the Maple Clinic philosophy of treating each patient with dignity, care, respect and enthusiasm. Ukranian/Russian speaking is an asset.

  • Receptionist provides administrative support to the entire clinic, including but not limited to: register patients, answer phone, book appointments, follow up on consults/results.
  • Lab technician - responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient collection of specimens and other clinic procedures
  • Medical Assistant provides assistance to doctors and allied health providers- performs other duties related to clinic operations

Requirements:

  • Previous Medical receptionist/ Medical assistant/Lab Technician - an asset
  • Passion for helping people
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - fluent in English (the ability to speak other languages is beneficial)
  • Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Team player with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent at problem solving and multitasking in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently and with some late evenings and weekend hours where necessary
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with EMR system, Telus/Oscar (an asset)
