About the Role
As SEO Copywriter, you will be responsible for developing and executing all customer-facing written content across our brand and channels. Including but not limited to…
- Write compelling, accurate, on-brand copy for product descriptions across our e-commerce platform, email campaigns, paid media, and in-store signage.
- Create SEO-optimized web pages, blog articles, digital ads, landing pages, and supporting marketing materials.
- Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headings, and internal links to improve search rankings and CTR.
- Perform keyword and market research to guide copy strategy; identify consumer search trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with the marketing, e-commerce, design, and merchandising teams to align content with visual elements, brand guidelines, and business objectives.
- Maintain a content calendar and manage multiple writing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Review and optimize existing copy: improve readability, SEO performance, conversion rate, and brand consistency.
- Measure content performance (organic traffic, keyword ranking, email open/click rates, conversion metrics) and adjust approach accordingly.
- Ensure all written communications reflect our brand voice, values and appeal to our target customer base.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in copywriting for digital channels, ideally with SEO focus
- Experience in e-commerce or retail product descriptions is a plus
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices including keyword research, on-page optimization, user intent, and content structure.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong command of tone, style and brand voice.
- Able to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail marketing environment.
- Proficient in using content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and familiar with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, merchandising, marketing).
- A portfolio of previous work that demonstrates SEO copywriting ability, diverse content types (product descriptions, email, web copy) and measurable results.
Nice-to-haves:
- Familiarity with HTML/basic code editing or structured content.
- Bilingual (English + French) or comfort writing for multilingual markets.
- Knowledge of the Asian beauty/retail market or experience working in similar niche segments.
