is looking to add an
Estimator/Coordinator
to our team to better serve our clients.
Estimator/Coordinator
works side by side with Ownership to estimate, coordinate and support the business. This role coordinates the Coatings aspects of Commercial construction projects to assure complete scope coverage and great service.
Estimator/Coordinator Responsibilities:
· Receive, organize & manage incoming tender requests in a timely and responsive way.
· Review plans and specifications to determine scope and pricing for the project.
· Communicate and interacts with vendors to obtain material quotes.
· Creates RFIs and analyzes and distributes responses.
· Analyze construction drawings to check for scope gaps and overlaps.
· Attends pre-bid meetings and site visits to review existing conditions as required.
· Prices work for hard bids, and provides budgets from conceptual through final construction documents.
· Develops strategies to estimate and win competitive bids.
· Attends and presents at award meetings with clients and design teams.
· Engage in value engineering, budgeting and constructability reviews and further into a presentation format.
· Assists in purchasing of materials.
· Prepare key plan drawings, budgets, scope, & submittals for field staff.
· Facilitate "Hand Off Meeting" to field staff of project to ensure success as required.
· Price and manage change orders.
· Attends networking functions to promote the company interests.
· Aligns and displays company values exercising integrity, people first, solution attitude and super engagement in respect with clients and co-workers.
· Maintains a positive attitude, a professional appearance and a great work ethic but most importantly have fun.
· Compile O&M manuals for closeout for customers.
Estimator/Coordinator Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree preferably in Architecture plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· The Estimator/Coordinator must have a clear understanding of Architectural Drawings and Finishes.
· Basic knowledge of Coatings and Industry Standards.
· Develop and Maintain Relationships with company workers and customers.
· Great written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Basic understanding of general contracts, types of contracts, subcontract documents, estimating and purchasing principles and techniques.
· Ability to work, communicate and contribute within a team setting.
· Ability to think clearly and maintain control under stressful conditions and hard bid deadlines.
