Job Summary

INVOLVES MOVING HEAVY COOKING POTS; SO ABILITY TO LIFT/MOVE ITEMS IS PREFERRED. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a clean and efficient food preparation environment. This role is essential in supporting our cooks and chefs in delivering high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and meal assembly under the guidance of cooks and chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support the cooking staff during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
  • Participate in the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Must be someone with previous Experience in Cooking/Kitchen helper position
  • Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
