Job Description:
This is an ideal position for a driven Project Scheduler who is currently seeking opportunities to further build upon their experience and knowledge by gaining valuable exposure to a rapidly growing company. This role is responsible for development of baseline, master & detailed schedules and the oversight of all scheduling activities, as well as providing status updates, forecasts, and progress reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of baseline schedule, master & detailed schedules using well-defined and properly sequenced work activities
- Oversee all project scheduling activities and provide required status updates, forecasts, and reports as necessary
- Develop project schedule layouts in conjunction with the project team, including critical path analysis, alternate schedules and progress measurement of the schedule
- Review/analysis of Vendor and Subcontractor monthly updates to the schedule
- Providing progress updates & verifying that the updates are an accurate representation of the work accomplished
- Contribute to the organization through other duties and projects as required and determined by management
- Identify major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items
- Support ongoing projects by working with the project managers and discipline leads on project status, identifying opportunities for improvement, delays and areas where additional concentration would be required
- Assign resources (cost, labour or material) to activities and develop cash flow reports
- Recommend work around plans to keep projects on track
- Identify major milestones, critical approvals and long lead procurement items
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications/Positional Requirements:
- Engineering Diploma/Degree or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of construction scheduling experience
- Advanced Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project knowledge & skills is required
- Field planning & MEP scheduling experience is considered an asset
- Quantitative skills with ability to design complex spreadsheet solutions, database queries, and other analytical tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong project management, technical and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
Schedule:
- 8 Hour Shift
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
