Reporting to the Supervised Access Program Supervisor/Coordinator, the Supervised Access Worker will provide supervision for children and their parents in a child friendly, neutral environment to visit or exchange, in compliance with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services guidelines and standards.
DUTIES:
- Facilitate safe arrival and departure of children re exchange or visit
- Facilitate access visits
- Open and close the access centre, including set up and take down of equipment
- Inspect and/or clean equipment, toys, as well as the access centre to ensure health and safety standards
- Record objective, accurate, and factual observations of visits and exchanges in observation notes
- Complete all required agency forms as per policies and guidelines
- Participate in Compass sponsored research, as directed
- Participate in conferences, seminars and workshops when possible
- To read current journals and other literature related to the field.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Successful completion of diploma from an accredited college in social services or related human services degree or diploma.
- Valid First Aid/CPR will be required.
- CPI certificate will be required.
- AODA certificate will be required (training provided)
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 steps certificate (training provided)
- SAP E-Module certifications as laid out by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (Specific to Access Workers).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
Successful applicants will be required to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
- A valid Ontario driver's license and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on vehicle as per policy
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search

Relevant du superviseur/coordonnateur du programme des visites supervisées, le travailleur des visites supervisé assurera la supervision des enfants et de leurs parents dans un environnement neutre et adapté aux enfants pour les visites ou les échanges, conformément aux directives et aux normes du ministère des Services à l'enfance et des Services sociaux et communautaires.
RESPONSABILITÉS :
- Faciliter l'arrivée et le départ en toute sécurité des enfants lors d'un échange ou d'une visite
- Faciliter les visites surveillées
- Ouvrir et fermer le centre, y compris l'installation et le démontage de l'équipement
- Inspecter et/ou nettoyer l'équipement, les jouets, ainsi que le centre d'accès afin de garantir le respect des normes de santé et de sécurité
- Consigner des observations objectives, précises et factuelles des visites et des échanges dans des notes d'observation
- Remplir tous les formulaires requis par l'organisme, conformément aux politiques et aux directives
- Participer aux recherches financées par Boussole, selon les directives
- Participer à des conférences, séminaires et ateliers lorsque cela est possible
- Lire les revues et autres publications actuelles liées au domaine
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Diplôme d'un collège accrédité en services sociaux ou diplôme ou certificat lié aux services sociaux
- Certificat valide de secourisme et de réanimation cardio-pulmonaire (RCR) est requis
- Certificat de CPI est requis.
- Certificat sur la Loi sur L'accessibilité pour les personnes handicapées de l'Ontario (LAPHO) est requise (formation offerte)
- Certificat de Sensibilisation des travailleurs à la santé et la sécurité en 4 étapes (formation offerte).
- Certifications « SAP E-Module », conformément aux exigences du ministère des Services à l'enfance et des Services sociaux et communautaires (spécifiques aux intervenants des visites).
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite en français et en anglais.
