POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent will assist with the completion and documentation of visits and exchanges mainly during the evening and weekend hours. The incumbent will also assist with the cleanliness of the service location with regular cleaning of all toys and equipment.

The incumbent will work a flexible work schedule of up to 24 hours per week which will focus on evening and weekend hours. The work schedule will be designed to meet the needs of the service and the client population.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The incumbent must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The incumbent must be able to work independently, yet function as part of an interdisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are as asset.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent is expected to be job proficient within six months and to demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy, goals and objectives of Community Services of Belleville and District and Supervised Access Services.

Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator, or Supervised Access Services Worker, the incumbent will:

  1. Assist with the operation of the service by monitoring and documenting parenting visits and exchanges.

  2. Work evenings and weekends with a schedule that is designed to meet the needs of the service and participants.

  3. Work with families with a variety of socio-economic needs, demonstrate an attitude of inclusion, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

  4. Assist with telephone support services to include receiving inquiries and the documenting of all participant communication with the service.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
