Senior Software QA Engineer

The Opportunity

KingswaySoft is currently looking to add a couple of strong and experienced software QA engineer to our high-performing development team.

This crucial hands-on role is responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions by working with some of the most innovative integration software in the industry. With this role, you will be able to leverage your exceptional QA skills to test and break the software to ensure the quality of our software releases. As a member of the KingswaySoft software engineering team, you have the opportunity to work closely with talented developers, QA engineers like yourself by delivering the best-of-breed software solutions.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of software QA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering field.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or development role
• Understanding of Software QA methodologies and approaches
• Strong knowledge of relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Experience with web service and API testing, including the interactions with SOAP and/or REST service endpoints
• Working knowledge of XML and JSON data
• Ability to spot problems easily and reproduce them
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Solutions-oriented thinking, looking for the smart solutions to issues rather than first answer that works
• A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
• Ingrained sense of accountability and ownership

What do you actually do in this role?

• Develop and execute test cases for KingswaySoft products that interact with various enterprise applications using SOAP, REST, or its proprietary APIs
• Create and develop test strategies
• Create and develop test plans
• Provide technical support to clients as needed
• Ensure bugs/issues are tracked, resolved in a timely fashion
• Contribute to the development of technical resources such as knowledge base articles and technical documentation, write unit tests
• Develop sample solutions that demonstrate our software features
• Leverage your technical experience, skills, training, and information tools to provide a high level of customer satisfaction

Note this is not a typical functional QA role, but a very technical one that involves heavy database and API testings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
