As a
Software Tester
at Caprivi Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of
CapEx360
, our enterprise-grade capital expenditure management platform. Your patience, attention to detail, and technical curiosity will help uncover issues before our clients do, ensuring smooth implementations and exceptional user experiences.

This is a hands-on role that requires designing and executing test cases, identifying and reproducing defects, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, and project managers in an Agile environment. Your ability to connect system behavior with real-world business processes in capital project management will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the full CapEx360 system and its modules.
  • Design and execute detailed test cases across functional, regression, integration, and UAT scenarios.
  • Identify, reproduce, and document bugs with clear steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, recordings).
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum sprints, providing input on requirements, estimations, and acceptance criteria.
  • Use browser Developer Tools to inspect HTML/CSS for UI validation.
  • Query databases with SQL (SELECT, WHERE) to validate test data.
  • Assist in replicating and verifying results from basic JavaScript-based penetration tests.
  • Provide feedback on usability, edge cases, and potential risks in workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, automation, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Software Tester, QA Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proven ability to design and execute test cases and plans.
  • Strong knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, UAT, etc.).
  • Experience with bug reporting, issue tracking, and working in Agile teams.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and browser inspection tools.
  • Basic SQL skills for data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to CapEx, ERP, or finance-related software solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript for test scripting or penetration test replication.
  • Experience with test management tools or automation frameworks.
  • Located in or near the GTA for occasional in-person collaboration.
