Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Clinician to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at the Peter Lougheed Centre. This leadership role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead, organize, and direct day-to-day nursing functions within the CCU. Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients admitted to the unit. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Support and build team capacity within a Collaborative Care Model. Establish and uphold standards of practice, and facilitate improvements in structure, processes, and procedures. Promote optimal outcomes in patient care, quality, and resource utilization. Qualifications: Registered Nurse with active registration and in good standing. Demonstrated clinical expertise in acute care, preferably in cardiology or critical care. Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in care coordination and discharge planning is an asset. Description:

As a Nurse Clinician (NC), you will be responsible for the coordination of an interprofessional team, in the provision of quality patient (client, resident) care in order to meet the operational priorities and requirements within a clinical setting. You will use an integrative leadership approach in assisting, planning, implementing and evaluating care needs, while assuming responsibility for staff assignments, patient flow and clinical resources. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate from an approved school of nursing current registration with the Alberta association of registered nurses current certification in basic cardiac life support regional certification in iv, iv medication administration and cvc certification. Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience within cardiology telemetry certification
