A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a focus on audit and assurance to join its professional team. This position offers the opportunity to lead client engagements, oversee staff development, and manage audit processes across a diverse portfolio of clients. Candidates must hold a CPA designation to be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of audit and assurance engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Supervise and review work prepared by accounting staff, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports, and working papers.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, addressing inquiries and offering proactive accounting insights.
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • CPA Designation:
    Required.
  • Public Accounting Expertise:
    Proven experience in audit and assurance management within a public accounting firm.
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple engagements, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Comprehensive understanding of ASPE, ASNPO, and applicable auditing standards.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in public accounting, including team leadership.
  • Education:
    Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Extra Consideration will be given to those who have experience with:

Audit Management, Financial Statement Preparation, Assurance Engagements, Staff Supervision, and Client Relationship Development.
