**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and manage the daily dispatch of freight to ensure timely deliveries.
- Utilize transportation management systems, such as SyteLine and AS400, to track shipments and optimize routes.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and vendors to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Analyze shipping data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and freight movements.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a dispatcher role or similar position within logistics or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems is required
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data related to freight movement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, as well as 3PL operations, is preferred.
- Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry and record keeping.
