About the Role:

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating Waterjet Cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. You will be a key player in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and precision from setup to final product preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate Waterjet Cutting machines efficiently.
  • Read work orders and follow verbal instructions to meet production specifications.
  • Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other handling equipment.
  • Monitor the cutting process, perform quality checks on finished pieces, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and package orders securely (e.g., building skids, boxing, strapping).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
  • Assist team members with various tasks and operate additional material handling equipment as needed.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct Waterjet Cutting experience.
  • At least 3 months of forklift experience (experience with heavy materials is a strong asset).
  • Experience with overhead cranes is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of routine machine maintenance.
  • Strong ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and maintain focus in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires:

  • Frequent lifting and handling of materials 50+ lbs.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending and pushing regularly.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
