Job Overview

The People & Culture Leader is responsible for leading all HR and culture-related programs within Mountain Technologies Limited. This role builds and maintains a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment that supports operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The position oversees the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration through ADP, learning and development, benefits, performance management, culture development, occupational health and safety support, and compliance with relevant employment legislation.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, Accountant, and leadership team, the People & Culture Leader ensures the integrity of HR systems, supports workforce planning, and promotes a cohesive, positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs that support manufacturing operations.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and administrative roles.
  • Manage ADP Workforce System processes, including employee profiles, timecards, payroll submissions, and data accuracy.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and company HR policies.
  • Administer Annual Leave and Holiday Policy; coordinate vacation schedules and ensure production coverage.
  • Support managers with workforce planning, shift scheduling, and attendance management.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Committee and production management to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Support compliance with OHS regulations; reinforce safety procedures and required training.
  • Integrate safety considerations into HR processes and operational planning.
  • Analyze HR and workforce trends to identify issues and propose practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership for staffing, retention, and performance strategies.
  • Contribute to organizational projects such as restructuring, policy updates, and system enhancements.
  • Lead internal communication initiatives—announcements, notices, meetings, bulletins, and engagement activities.
  • Coordinate recognition, appreciation, and cultural events to enhance employee engagement.
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee records, compensation data, and HR investigations.
  • Ensure secure storage and restricted access to sensitive HR information.
  • Utilize HR metrics and ADP/Syteline reports to track turnover, absenteeism, and workforce trends.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement in HR service delivery and employee experience.\Participate in internal audits and support ISO 9001:2015 quality and compliance requirements.

Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce System or similar HRIS/payroll systems.

Skill & Qualification

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence and support others.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • HR certification (CPHR, SHRM, or equivalent) is an asset OR Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
