Pay Range Base pay: CA$119,964.00 / yr – CA$141,132.00 / yr. Role Overview Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, the Manager, People & Culture Services provides strategic and operational leadership to a team of People & Culture Business Partners delivering comprehensive human resources generalist services through a client group‑based model, supported by a People & Culture Coordinator. The role is responsible for ensuring People & Culture services are delivered in a proactive, integrated, and consultative manner that supports organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and the City’s vision, values, and strategic priorities. Key Qualifications Strong knowledge of HR generalist practices (including disability case management, labour relations, talent acquisition, employment legislation, and collective agreement administration). Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build effective partnerships with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders. Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and team development. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate organizational priorities into practical people solutions. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills. Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility and reconciliation in the workplace. Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidate has a University degree with specialization in human resources, leadership, organizational psychology, change management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should also have education or experience in organizational design and development, continuous improvement and change management, and project and program delivery. A CPHR designation is preferred. Additional Requirements & Benefits Applicants must provide a current Police Information Check (PIC). Attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. Salary is currently under review for 2024 rates.
